Coach With Us
PYSA Football is built by volunteer parent coaches. If you want to be on the sideline this season, here's how.
Every PYSA Football team — Tackle, Flag and 7on7 — is led by volunteer parent coaches. Whether you're interested in a head coach or assistant coach role, the process starts the same way: a volunteer background screen and commissioner approval.
Requirements
- Complete and pass the volunteer background screening.
- Review and sign PYSA's Coaching Policy Document and Coaches Code of Conduct.
- Attend the preseason coaches' meeting for your program.
- Commit to weekly practice and game schedule for the season.

Each summer PISD high school coaching staffs host a tackle coaches' clinic for PYSA. Attendance is strongly encouraged — it directly aligns our schemes with the high schools our players move into.

Flag and 7on7 coaches are the heart of our young athletes' first football experiences. No prior coaching experience required — we'll point you to playbook resources, drills and league rules.
