Flag Football

Kindergarten through 4th grade. Fall and Spring. The best introduction to football your child will ever get.

PYSA Flag Football is where most of our athletes start. It's a positive, encouraging environment where the focus is having fun, learning the game, and developing the basic movement and football IQ they'll carry forward into 7on7 or tackle.

Who Plays

Eligibility

Grades: Kindergarten through 4th grade (boys and girls welcome).

Seasons: Fall and Spring — register for either or both.

Format: Non-contact, flag-pull format. No helmets or pads required.

What We Teach

  • Football fundamentals — stance, catching, passing, route running, ball security.
  • Team concepts — formations, offensive and defensive responsibilities.
  • Sportsmanship, communication and resilience.
  • A genuine love for the game.

Volunteer Coaches

PYSA Flag is run by volunteer parent coaches. You don't need football experience — just a willingness to invest in our kids. Coaches must complete a background screen before the season starts. Visit the Coaches page for details.
